The Sicilian pine cone, entirely handmade by the artisans, is a lucky charm like the pumo of Grottaglie.

An evergreen tree, its fruit enclosed in a shell represents fertility and life force, that's why you can find it in almost every house, and it is a much appreciated gift. It can be made in gum paste for edible decorations or in cold porcelain, and ceramic powder for wedding favors.

The mold precedes a cut on the side to allow the extraction of the artifact.
